|How do I create a standard WebBlock?
|Go to the WebBlock Gallery.
Click on the [Add] button and choose "Start with a Blank WebBlock".
Enter a name for the WebBlock (this information is for your own personal use and will allow you to find the WebBlock later on) and click on [OK].
Click on the [Save] button to save the WebBlock to the gallery.
If desired, click on the [Modify] button to enter the Title of your WebBlock (this information will be displayed at the top of the page or can be reserved as a Meta tag for search engine optimization purposes. You can also leave this zone blank).
The rest of the zones are optional.
Click on [Save] to save your changes.
Your WebBlock has been created but only contains "default" information that you are going to replace.
To do so, click on the [Edit WebBlock] button.
The WebBlock editor will be displayed and you will see a single cell with " [ABCDEF] " in it. This is a text element.
Click on the text [ABCDEF] to access the elements of this cell. A file will appear. Enter your text.
Note: You can "Copy/Paste" your text if you know the standard shortcut keys for Windows. For example, you can select the text of your choice from a Word document and hit the "Ctrl" and "C" keys simultaneously to copy the text. You can then come back to your site and go to the text entry zone and simultaneously hit the "Ctrl" and "V" keys. This will paste the text in your text zone.
Choose a Font Style (for example, "short description").
Note: If desired, you can choose a specific font for your font type. You either choose a font type "from your site", in other words from your site design, or you use a specific font face. The advantage of using a font from your site is that it will automatically match the rest of your site design. If you change the definition of one of the fonts in your site, all of the text using that definition will immediately be changed. On the other hand, if you put red all over the place when defining your own fonts in dozens of WebBlock ... you'll have to edit each WebBlock to change the font!
Click on [Save].
Click on the "gold +" icon in the grey, horizontal panel. A new column will appear.
Hover over the cell. You will see two icons appear to the right of the cell. Hover over the first icon and select "Access Elements" in the drop-down list.
A list of elements that can be added will appear. Select "Image" and then click on the [Save] button.
A file allowing you to manage the image will appear. Click on the [..] button to choose an image from your Image Gallery. If desired, adjust the alignments and if needed, select a navigation behavior to link to this image. Click on [Save] to save your changes.
Using the "gold +" in the grey, vertical panel, you can follow the same procedure to add rows to your WebBlock.
You can also duplicate an entire row and its contents (cells, styles, images, etc.) by using the "+ arrow" icon just below the "gold +" icon in the vertical panel.
Don't forget to click on [Save] periodically to save your changes.
To delete elements in a cell, select "Access Elements" in the drop-down list. You will see all of the elements listed. Click on the "gold -" icon next to the element you want to delete. To confirm, click [OK]. The list of elements that can be added will appear. Choose an element or select [Cancel].
