View Management

In the different pages of the Actinic administration space, you manage the content of your data using definable 'views'.

A view is a set of specifications allowing you to "view" a portion of your data.

You are going to define the number of elements displayed per page, the classification of these elements, the displayed columns, and, especially, filter the elements to work on a restricted group.

Several filters can be added and saved. This functionality is available by clicking on the [Filter] button for the following components : images gallery, items list, order tracking and user base.

Once the settings are done and when clicking on the [Save as] button, a window displays allowing you to name the filter.

You can create up to 10 filters. By clicking on the [Save as] button, the second filter will be created.

The selected filters will then be displaying in the list.

You can delete a filter by clicking on the [Filter] button and then by clicking on the Tab.

A filter can modified by being selected, setup and then saved by clicking on the [Save] button.

The last activated filter will be saved. It will always be activated during a new connection to the backoffice.

 Order tracking filters
Default filters are available in the order tracking menu. They will always display underneath the filters you created.

 Page number element
You can define up to 50 items to display per page. The higher the number the higher the loading time is to retrieve those dates. Thereís a possibility that the last line will display underneath your screen, meaning you may need to scroll down.

We recommend choosing a number per page that is appropriate for your screen size and internet connection speed.

 Element Classification
You can choose two successive classification orders. In general, you will choose the last name and then the first name for your users. Because these identifiers are almost always unique, the second classification is practically useless (except if you have 2 users with a last name of "Johnson", who will then be differentiated by their first names). This being said, you may choose to classify you customers by descending discount and ascending last name.

Combined with the use of the classification filter, this is an excellent way to find elements rapidly.
 Column Selection and Organization
The main view, in the form of a table that you see on the screen, can never display all the information concerning an element (user, product, or other). Indeed, too many columns would be necessary and the display would become extremely awkward.

We propose that you select and order some of the most significant columns.

When the name of a column is displayed but is crossed out, this means that it will not be present in the view. By clicking on the crossed out text in this column, it will then be displayed normally and the column will be visible in the view.

Simply clicking on the name of the column thus allows you to display or hide the column in the view.

The arrows allow you to position the columns in relation to one another. Note that the most logical choice for your first column is that of the field used to classify the view. This is not mandatory but makes consultation more enjoyable.
 Element Selection Filter
By default, the proposed view is never filtered. Therefore, all of the data is displayed on one or several pages. You can define filters to limit the number of displayed elements.

Using filters for multi-choice zones (categories, countries, languages, etc.), numeric zones, or dates is simple. All you have to do is select the desired data or enter a date range or value range.

Filtering alphanumeric zones is more sophisticated.

The first thing you need to know is that the system is not case sensitive. In other words, the filters ignore the difference between uppercase and lowercase letters ("Johnson" will find "johnson" or "JOHNSON"). Warning: The system does, however, take accents into account ("noel" will not find "noŽl").

The second thing you need to know is that, by default, the search results will include all of the data containing the desired term. For example, a search of the word "can" will find the elements "candy", "jerrycan", "incandescent", etc.

You can create advanced filters by using "wildcards". Wildcards are characters or short expressions allowing you to define more precise searches.

The table below lists the different available wildcards.

It is possible to combine the wildcards in the same search expressions.
The table below lists a few search examples.

Lastly, be careful when combining the filtered zones because you can quickly find yourself with no search results. Add one criterion at a time in order to determine which criterion is nullifying your results.
At any time, you can click on "Reset Filter" to clear the defined filter criteria.
