 Download and Install

You can download this application directly :

After downloading the install file, execute it and follow the steps in the wizard.

Note: You can install the application for the current user or for all user accounts on the computer.

After Actinic DataPlug has been installed, it can be accessed in the Windows Start menu: [Start > All Programs > Oxatis > Oxatis DataPlug]

 First Use

The first time you run the application, you must perform an authentication procedure (site login). This step is normal and very important because it allows the software to identify the Actinic site you want to work on. After authentication has been confirmed, you can begin importing data into DataPlug.

 Data Preparation

Before uploading data from DataPlug to your Actinic site, you need to prepare the data on your computer, organizing your work as follows:

1) During the install procedure, select an image directory for your site.
  • Create tree structure inside this directory to organize your images (visuals, photos, logos, etc.), limiting yourself to 5 levels maximum.
  • File your images in these sub-folders, taking care to name them with pertinent keywords to optimize your site as much as possible for search engines.
  • Only use unaccented, alphanumeric characters for your file names, replacing spaces by dashes "-" or underscores "_".

2) Create the Excel file for your Items.
We recommend using the example file provided below to facilitate column mapping for your different item properties.
However, DataPlug allows you to import any Excel or CSV data file.

The different Excel file examples are available here:
Images / Items / Users

3) Create the Excel file for your Users.
As with your items, we recommend using the example file. Mapping your column headings will be easier. This file can be modified. Feel free to delete columns that don't interest you. Again, you can use any Excel or CSV data file to import your data.

The different Excel file examples are available here:
Images / Items / Users

At this stage, you are ready to import your data into DataPlug.
